The fight

A single health bar, no cutscene: at half health, he starts summoning snake heads that spit poison, and keeps doing it.

One set: poison comes with the snakes in the second half, but nothing lets you swap armor in between, so Poison protection pays off from the start.

Spells, transformation and soaks are set at a Keeper's Shrine, never mid-fight: what you bring into a fight stays until the end. Nothing reliable confirms that armor can be swapped mid-fight: a page only offers a per-phase variant when a shrine or a checkpoint separates the phases.

What it inflicts

Poison, mainly from the snake heads and his poison spray.

Attacks to watch

Snake summon, announced by a voice line: the heads shoot fast, and without stamina to dodge you get poisoned.
Acid spray: he keeps his starting direction, so dodge toward his side.
Homing orbs, fired while he teleports toward you.

What works

Kill the snake heads first: one hit each.

Strategy

Open with a running heavy attack, then Immobilize and a full light combo.
No combos while the snakes are out: circle around until they disappear.
If his magic circle appears under you, dodge toward him.

Access

Snake Trail, Bamboo Grove: facing the shrine, jump down the cliffs on the left to the river, turn right, cross the snake-infested bamboo wood and follow the paved path past 2 torches. Optional. The 2nd bell of the secret area is behind his arena.
