The fight
A single fight. At half health, a scripted grab triggers a cutscene that teaches you Immobilize, then the fight resumes in the same arena, with no change of element or weapon.
One set: nothing changes in nature, and Immobilize joins your spells during the cutscene.
Spells, transformation and soaks are set at a Keeper's Shrine, never mid-fight: what you bring into a fight stays until the end. Nothing reliable confirms that armor can be swapped mid-fight: a page only offers a per-phase variant when a shrine or a checkpoint separates the phases.
What it inflicts
- No status effect: physical damage only.
Attacks to watch
- His combos are 2 or 3 hits long; the jumping axe slam hurts the most.
What works
- Immobilize, once the cutscene is over: freeze him, then follow with a light attack combo. Immobilize
- Fully charged heavy attack, when the staff glows: charged from a safe distance, it knocks him down.
Strategy
- Dodge to the side: his attacks are slow and easy to avoid, then punish during the gaps.
- Stay locked on: he moves constantly.
- He has little health: no need to take risks.
Access
Front Hills, Forest of Wolves: go past the first shrine, cross the Forest of Wolves bridge, then turn right and follow the wall. Mandatory story fight.
